Lenovo’s Moto has sold 1 lakh units of e3 Power smartphone on the first day of its launch on Flipkart. Moto India posted a tweet from its official Twitter account thanking fans. “Moto & @Flipkart have made History with 100k #MotoE3Power phones sold on launch day! Highest ever sold on day 1 @Flipkart. Thanks to our fans,” the tweet says. Amit Boni, Country Head, Motorola India, in a separate tweet said, “Our teams @Flipkart & @Moto_IND have made history. 100000 #MotoE3Power  sold in one day. Moto e3 Power was launched in India on Monday at Rs 7,999. The highlight of the smartphone is its 3,500 mAh battery. In our first impressions we said, Moto e3 Power brings improvements to Moto E2 in every aspect. Moto e3 Power series has a design similar to the one seen on Moto G4 and G4 Plus. We noted strong battery life is Moto e3’s USP indeed. We got two full days of normal use on this battery.
Moto e3 Power has a 5-inch HD display (1280 x 720 pixels) with Gorilla Glass 3 for protection. It is powered by 1.0GHz quad-core MediaTek processor coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage (expandable storage up to 32GB via dedicated SD card slot). Moto e3 Power has an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP selfie shooter. The camera rear camera also supports features like geo-tagging, panorama and HDR. Moto e3 Power runs stock Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Moto e3 Power comes with water-repellent coating. This is a 4G + VoLTE ready smartphone, making it valid with Reliance Jio’s Welcome Offer.
Moto E series has done well for the company in past. Motorola claims they have over 3 million plus users on the Moto E3 brand in India currently, and it will hope to boost this number with the new Moto e3 Power. Plus, battery remains one of the most important factors in choosing a smartphone for Indian audience. It makes sense Motorola has brought this phone to India given rivals like Xiaomi are offering Redmi 3s with a 4100 mAh battery at a starting price of Rs 6,999.
