Giphy's website is a blessing to all those who like to use gif images on social media networking platforms. They provide an alternative form of communication and often produce hilarious conversations. Now, the company has brought its camera app - Giphy Cam - to Android to help you produce gif images right from your smartphone's camera.
The Giphy Cam app for Android allows you to create gif images by either holding down the red button in the app or by tapping the button to shoot a 5-frame 'BURST MODE' gif image. You can then add filters, stickers, or other special effects and then share them with your friends. You can also save them in your photo gallery for use later.
There are 40 overlays and effects available in the Giphy Cam app for you to create as many gif images as you desire and the app is currently available for free through Google Play.
Interestingly, the Giphy Cam app was launched for iOS last year itself. The company has, howeverupdated its iOS app to version 2.5.1 to add features like IRL Stickers that allow you to "Tap and hold on any Sticker and watch it follow your face, keep adding stickers to place them in 3D space around you," the company says in its changelog on App Store.
The Giphy Cam v2.5.1 app for iOS also allows you to import Live Photos from the camera roll and also has the support for Force Touch, which allows you to jump right into 3 shooting modes Back facing camera, Selfie mode, and Random filter mode.
