A few days back the all-new 2017 390 Duke was spied testing on the Mumbai-Pune highway and now more images of the bike have emerged online. The latest batch of pictures reveal more details about the bike. Unlike last time, the bike has been spied in a parking lot, judging by the surroundings. It is also reported that the location is near Bajaj’s Chakan facility on the outskirts of Pune.

The bike looks quite aggressive with an all-new sharper silhouette, however, one can clearly note a design influence from its elder sister, the 1290 Duke R. The upcoming bike has semblance in terms of the tank shrouds and the low-set headlamp unit. Speaking of which, the face has grown longer and now carries a unique split all-LED headlamp unit. It is also said that the bike will be getting the always-on LED daytime running lights, just like the RC 390. The changes continue to the front and rear mudguards, and a new layout of the seat foam can also be noticed along with the V-shaped LED taillamp unit. However, the 10-spoke wheel layout remains unaltered and is wrapped by Michelin Pilot Street tyres as opposed to the Metzelers available currently.

The spied pictures also show an all-new instrument console. Its rectangular shape certainly isn't the sportiest in business, however, it is expected to get a host of new features such as lap times, mode indications, etc. The spied images also show the new batch of buttons on the left side of the handlebar, which indicates that the bike will get ride modes.

Mechanically, the 2017 Duke is expected to remain unchanged, however, it will meet higher levels of emission and NVH level norms, thanks to the side mounted exhaust unit. Notably, the same unit is currently in use with the RC 390 in the European markets in a bid to meet stringent Euro emission norms. Power and torque figures are expected to remain at the current 43.5PS and 35Nm, respectively. Whereas, the 373cc motor will retain the same 6-speed transmission.

As far as its public debut is concerned, KTM could showcase it at the upcoming EICMA in Milan in November, 2016. The bike will lock horns with the likes of the BMW G 310 R and the Yamaha MT-03, which are expected to make it to the Indian market in near future.
